Travis' Territory

Okay, I have been working on my local computers quite a bit recently - I have decided that for my next computer I will be likely purchasing an Apple desktop around the time of Black Friday, thus it gives me time to save up for it.

I have recently been cleaning up my local laptop some (in preparation for an upgrade to Snow Leopard - one of my X-mas presents - thank you Love!). I also have been working on the rpg project. Mostly game management things right now, no actual RPG things at all. I have the form all made up for the most part now (I may or may not add a field for the Game Master, not positive yet if I always want the Game Master to be the one who creates the game or not.

I included a number of options right now that an ideal system would have, next phase (once I get these saveing and loading okay) is to start to implement these options:

• Invite users to play the game (depending on options in the form).
• Allow users to sign up for a game (again, depending on options in the form).
• A concise listing of the players who are involved with the specific game.
• Privacy settings: for general game information (or non-participants).
• Default Privacy settings: among players within the game.
• Possibly: the ability to create a game for someone else to run.
• RSS Feeds of new games being made.
• RSS Feeds of recent activity in games that you are involved in or are 'following.'

I have also been reading the Kenshin manga; the largest difference between that and the anime that I've seen so far is the 2nd battle between Sanosuke and Kenshin isn't actually a battle in the manga - that and the series has more exposition at the start before getting into the serious story. (I just finished volume 12 of the manga - the meeting of Shishio, Kenshin, and Saito at the Purgatory just happened).

Additionaly, Gaming Society has asked me to make them a website, which I shall not have much of an issue doing. However, they need to respond to my questions about what url they want the site to be at prior to me even getting the ability to start it. Since I would be working on the same server, I might as well also put some work into the Solar Car website. That is, if my regular job doesn't take most of my time away from me - we're under a tight deadline now.
